For a mother, as important as the 9 months before pregnancy is the next three months that follows the birth of the child. During this period, the expanded uterus shrinks back to normal position. And the ligaments, muscles and tendons associated with the uterus start gaining back the lost power. The treatments if not done correctly and the Ayurvedic way, will eventually lead to back pain and other related disorders. Rejuvenation & Relaxation Packages

Uzhichil is an ayurvedic deep tissue massage, which is highly recommended for blood circulation. Herbal Steam Bath is good for flushing out impurities from the body, reducing obesity as well as excess fat and in the treatment of skin diseases.

Pizhichil is the treatment in which the whole body is bathed in streams of lukewarm medicated oil in rhythmic movements, alongside soft massage, which is effective for relaxation of joint stiffness and pain.

Sirodhara is a wonderful relaxation process in which the scalp and forehead is caressed with a thin stream of medicated lukewarm oil. Sirodhara is extremely relaxing, rejuvenating and enhances the functioning of the central nervous system.

Kizhi treatment is a type of massage performed using small satchels containing herbal powders, herbs, rice or sand. Ayurvedic head massage is used both for therapeutic and relaxation benefits. It is indicated to promote hair growth, in headache, stress, anxiety, scalp disorders.

Panchakarma / Detoxification Packages

Abhyanga (“oil massage”) is a form of Ayurvedic medicine that involves massage of the body with large amounts of warm oil. The oil is often pre-medicated with herbs for specific conditions.

Swedana is the process of inducing sweat with the help of steam, generated from medicated herbal decoctions.

Kashaya Vasti is a treatment in which harmful toxins and impure doshas are made to get out of the body in order to purify it from within. It is performed with a mixture of herbal paste, honey, rock-salt and Ayurvedic oils.

Thaila Vasti in small quantities is given for the first three days followed by the main Kashaya Vasti. Patient is asked to take a deep breath before the treatment and to lie down in the same posture for a few minutes after Vasti.

Udwarthanam is a special therapeutic deep tissue massage using herbal powders. Udwarthanam means to elevate or to promote. This massage involves upward stroking, where the powder is rubbed forcibly on the body.

Karkataka Chikitsa

Karkataka Chikitsa is a seasonal treatment and is performed during the  monsoon time. The  treatment includes a complex combination of various Ayurvedic therapies. During this treatment, Abhyangam, the relaxing oil massage is used, as is the application of medicated powder and herbal bolus. In addition, Vasthis are administered to remove the waste from the body. Karkataka Chikitsa is particularly effective in the prevention of diseases and in increasing energy levels, reinvigorating the body and extending the longevity of life. Moreover, it also prevents many other ailments such as arthritis, spondylitis, back pain, insomnia, muscular pain, stress, and depression.
