Pregnancy is a delicate phase in the life of every one. This is when the body goes through drastic changes, just as the mind does. This period has to be handled with extreme caution and utmost care. Medical issues that come up during pregnancy should be treated without any delay.
One of the most common medical complaints during pregnancy is back pain. A rough estimate shows at least half of pregnant women suffer from some type of low back age.it is so common that it gets most often accepted as part of the hardships related to pregnancy.
Lumbar pain or Lower Back Pain (LBP) and Posterior Pelvic Pain (PPP) are the common types of pain witnessed during pregnancy. Ayurveda is the best to treat the situation as use of medication has to be kept at minimum during pregnancy.

Dealing with back pain

It is near impossible to prevent LBP, but the pain can be relieved a lot through right support and exercises. Right postures and physiotherapy, ayurvedic massage and herbal medicines and external use of oils can alleviate the pain considerably. Regular painkillers are not prescribed for pregnant women.
Ayurveda has got a clear protocol and practices to keep back ache under control during pregnancy and after pregnancy as well. Regular exercises and application of Dhanwantharam oil, which is a warm medicated oil, are sure ways to bring down the discomfort for pregnant women in a non-invasive manner. It is advised to have bath in warm water after applying the oil.
Flatulence or gas formation can add to the discomforts associated with pregnancy, which can be effectively arrested by herbal medicines in Ayurveda. Gastric upsets can lead to stress on the back and pelvic region, resulting in aches.
Ayurveda has medicines and treatment for checking back pain and strengthening the back after delivery too.
