Ayurvedic Home Remedy for Asthma
A mixture of powdered dried ginger root, black pepper and long pepper in equal amounts should be prepared and kept in an airtight container. Half a teaspoonful of the powder with equal amount of honey twice a day with lukewarm water can be effective in bringing down asthma.
Having a boiled solution of 11 guava leaves, 11 black pepper and 1 cup milk in one cup of water on an empty stomach daily for six months can also have the desired effect.
Inhaling the steam of cumin seeds in water can help dilate the bronchial passage.
Another way to counter asthma is to have half to one teaspoon full of the powder made with 5 gm of ginger, black pepper, cardamom, clove, cinnamon, turmeric and 30 gm of sugar, along with honey.
All these home remedies can bring only temporary relief. So it is always better to consult a trained physician.
